Can my friend come to visit me in my hotel room?

I’ve booked with my brother a twin room in a central London small hotel. Can my friend living there stay few hours in my room during the day?

Yes of course, as long as he / she does not use the facilities like bathtub, shower etc. On that they sometimes get a bit picky if found out.
