Russell Hotel

What’s the right bus to get from Paddington station to Russell Square?
I’m Brazilian and I intend to take the Heathrow Express and then a bus to Russell Square where my hotel is. I’d like to know if I can take only one bus or if it’s better to take a taxi.
Thanks a lot.
If you have to go from Heathrow airport to Russell square, you can just take the underground from the airport. The Piccadilly line will take you directly from the airport to Russell square with no need to change. It is cheaper than the Heathrow Express and will take almost the same time (about 1 hour) (however if you have a lot of luggages taking the underground may not be easy)
If you want to go from Paddington to Russell square you can do by any of these way
a) go to the underground station (the one the used to be identified as the one of the Hammersmith and City Line), and take the underground in East direction (you can both taje the Hammersmith and City line or the Circle line), get off at King’s Cross St.Pancras, and take the Piccadilly line in West direction. Get off at the first stop.(note this route will require you to do some stairs and escalators)
b) go to the underground station (the one of the Bakerloo line), take the Bakerloo line toward Elephant & Castle Underground Station, get off at Piccadilly Circus, take the Piccadilly line towards Cockfosters (or toward Arnos Grove), get off at the 3rd station in Russell square (note this route will require you to do some stairs and escalators)
c) take the bus 205 towards Bow Bus Garage, get off in Euston square, walk to Euston station take the bus 168 toward Tesco or the bus 59 towards Streatham Hil or towards/Telford Avenue
Note that in case c) you would need to buy a ticket before boarding the bus if you do not have an Oyster card (and you need two ticket, one for each bus, you can not use the same ticket when changing from bus to bus). You may find useful to buy an Oyster card and put some money on it (at least £ 3 for this journey). You can have an Oyster card both at the Heathrow airport or at Paddington.
If you are not going exactly to Russell Square but a little bit North of it, you may find easier to walk from Euston square (after have doing as explained inthe first part of a) or as in the first part of c)).
If you have a lot of luggage, it may be better if you take a taxi.
If you want to take a taxi, you could look at this shuttle bus directly from the airport (the Heathrow Express is rather expensive, I do not know how much does it cost this service, but it may be cheaper than the Heathrow Express and than a taxi ride from Paddington to Russell square)

P.S.
Option c) require you to walk from bus stop labelled D in the following map to the stop labelled B
