Beverley city hotel london?

I am not from london.
i applied and got a positive response. I was interviewed at the British Embassy and they are asking money for my visa.
Is this a scam or what?
Is there really a hotel like this one? If so is it of good reputation?

who is asking money for the visa? is it the hotel or is it the British Embassy … if it’s the Embassy of course they are going to charge you to process a visa, they’re not going to do it for free … I don’t know about your country but we have to pay for our passports in the UK, they’re not free either

I don’t know the hotel personally but a quick check on Google reassures me that it really does exist … the hotel is in an area of London where there are very many other hotels and there are usually many tourists from all over the world around … however there are people who live in the area as well as businesses, and there are shops, supermarkets etc to cater for them … the only downside of the area is that because of the number of tourists there are other “services” (e.g. prostitution) on offer which you would have to learn to cope with if you were working or living there
