Historic Hotels In London

Two week European trip how much would it cost for one person all together?
Probably see 3 cities in September (London, Paris, Rome or Berlin). 23 year old woman, staying in modest hotels but not dives or hostels. No drinking or partying but going to museums and historic sites as well as shopping. All together including air and train fares. I was thinking $6000

Your profile says you’re Canadian, so I’ll put all costs in CAD.
I don’t know your home city, so I can’t check airfares. Momondo is a European-based flight comparison site, it usually finds the cheapest international tickets. Alternately, try Skyscanner.

A random check of flights Toronto-London and Rome-Toronto shows $400-500 each way. Berlin-Toronto is almost three times that, so Frankfurt may be a better departure point if you don’t find cheaper tickets.
Eurostar London-Paris is about €50/$80.
You can stay in a London guest house/bed and breakfast (single room) starting around £40/$70 per night. It’s a nicer alternative to a hostel, and often includes breakfast.

I recommend the 2-star Hotel de la Porte Dorée in Paris, a bit east of the city centre (15 minutes by Metro). It’s the nicest cheap place I know in the city. Single rooms start at €70/$110 per night.

Food budget should range €30-60/$50-100 per day, depending on your preferences.
So $6000 should leave you with $1500-2500 for attractions and shopping, using a Paris budget for costs.
