Canary Wharf Hotel

what area of london is the west end in?

i am looking to book into a hotel as near to the west end theatre part of london, however i cannot figure out the area of london it is in? The websites dont tell me, its coming up with places such as mayfair , hammersmith, nayswater, kensington, chelsea, canary wharf etc. i know its somewhere near coventry gardens or something but their is no options for that

The West End doesn’t have distinct boundaries, per se, but it’s generally Soho, Leicester Square, Shaftesbury Avenue, Piccadilly Circus, and Covent Garden.

So staying in any of those areas would be good. I would also suggest places like Fitzrovia, Bloomsbury, Mayfair. Holborn etc. as they are pretty close (easy walking distance) from the places in the first paragraph.
