The London Bridge Hotel

What else should we do in London?
We live in Somerset and we’re going to London next tuesday…
We will get in London at around 2 in the afternoon. On the first night, we are going to see the lion king musical at 7:30, but from 2 – 7:30 we don’t have anything to do and we don’t want to stay in our hotel room…
We get off our coach at victoria coach station and out hotel room is in Earl’s Court..The musical is at the Lyceum Theatre in Wellington Street…
We want to go around those areas but we’re not sure what to do and where to visit…Any ideas are welcome??
PS: The next day we are going on the london bridge experience and the london tombs..We have already been to Madame Tuasauds and the london dungeons..
aww I’m so sorry lol..
And I will
Are you going straight to your hotel? If you do, and then come back into the centre, you’ll probably be in the Covent Garden/Strand area around 3.30-4.00 pm.
The theatre is close to Trafalgar Square, the National Gallery, the National Portrait Gallery, St Martin-in-the-Fields (where you can eat or have a coffee in the Crypt), Covent Garden and Somerset House. As you’ll have been sitting on a coach all morning, and will be sitting again in the evening, you might like to stroll around the places I’ve mentioned.
From Earl’s Court, you can take the Piccadilly Line straight to Leicester Square or Covent Garden. The museums are free, apart from any special exhibitions. From Charing Cross (at the Trafalgar Square end of the Strand) you can cross the Thames on the Hungerford foot bridge and stroll along the banks; there’s also the London Eye there, but you’d probably need more time to get tickets and take a flight on it.
I’ve given some links below to help. There’s plenty to do – there may be some entertainers at Covent Garden, as well as plenty of places to eat. Have a great time!
